Season of Discovery will unfold in four content phases, each featuring a new level cap and tailored endgame content, including revamped vanilla instances and zones. Phase 1 is capped at level 25, introducing a Blackfathom Deeps 10-player raid and an Ashenvale zone-wide PvP event. This overview explores everything accessible at level 25 in vanilla WoW, alongside key limitations in Phase 1.
Inventory & Travel
Bags and Costs: The largest vendor bags hold 12 slots, costing 10 gold. Tailors can craft Small Silk Packs.
Mounts: Regular mounts are unavailable until level 40. However, a special mount can be earned in the Ashenvale PvP event, usable only in Ashenvale, running at 50% speed.

Rune Discoveries
Discoveries are central to the Season of Discovery, involving Rune Engravings found globally, providing new class abilities when applied to gear. Players must discover and share the locations of these items.
True to their name, the locations of these items will be unknown at launch and will need to be discovered by players, who can then share their locations with the community.

Class Abilities
While new abilities come through Rune Engravings, many higher-level abilities and capstone talents, requiring 30 points in talent trees, remain inaccessible at level 25, with only 16 points available.
New Class Roles in Season of Discovery
Thanks to the new Class Spells added from the Rune Engraving System, some classes will have access to an entirely new role! For example, Rogues, Warlocks, and Shamans can officially Tank. Mages will be able to Heal thanks to their new Runes that allow their Arcane damage to heal party members.

Dungeons at level 25 are mainly in faction-controlled zones, making access challenging for opposing factions. Blackfathom Deeps becomes a new raid, replacing the original dungeon:

Raids
One raid has been announced for Phase 1, Blackfathom Deeps.
This raid is a revamp of the vanilla dungeon of the same name, and will feature seven new bosses and all-new loot. The entrance is located in the Contested zone of Ashenvale.
Player Versus Player
Only one battleground is available in Phase 1: Warsong Gulch. But the major PvP content for Season of Discovery is a zone-wide event in Ashenvale.
Players will be able to earn Honor as well as reputation with their Warsong Gulch faction through the Ashenvale event. This will open up some of the best level 25 gear in the game. They’ll also be able to unlock a level 25 mount that only works in Ashenvale.
