This guide will show you the fastest way to level your Classic Tailoring skill from 1 to 300 in World of Warcraft Classic or Season of Discovery, while being cost-effective.
What’s the best combination? The Tailoring profession in World of Warcraft pairs well with any other profession, but Enchanting is highly recommended for disenchanting your crafted cloth items.
Materials Required for Tailoring Leveling 1-300
This guide uses several yellow recipes, so you won’t always gain skill points. I’ve included an extra 10-20 resources for most recipes, but you might need more if you’re unlucky.

- 135x Wool Cloth

260 – 280
25x Runecloth Belt – 75 Bolt of Runecloth, 25 Rune Thread
You can start making Runecloth Bag instead of Runecloth Belt if you are going to sell them at the Auction House. The bags are pricier to make, but you can get most of your gold back. Make the belts if you would rather not bother selling that many bags in the auctions house.
You can find where to buy the recipe at the 280-290 part below.
280 – 290
18x Runecloth Bag – 90 Bolt of Runecloth, 36 Rugged Leather, 18 Rune Thread
Pattern: Runecloth Bag is sold by Qia in Winterspring at Everlook. She is inside the Bank building, in the left corner as soon as you walk in.
It’s a limited-supply recipe, so if someone bought it before you, you must wait for it to respawn. The restock time of this recipe appears to be random; it can be anything between 5 and 90 minutes. If plenty of people are camping the NPC, it’s usually better to buy it from the Auction House.
290 – 300
18x Runecloth Gloves – 72 Bolt of Runecloth, 72 Rugged Leather, 18 Rune Thread
The recipe goes yellow at 290, so get enough materials for 18.
Pattern: Runecloth Gloves is also sold by Qia in Winterspring, and it’s also a limited supply recipe.
